In several funded research projects of the TITK and industrial cooperations, soft magnetic and hard magnetic polymer composites with interesting magnetic property characteristics were produced, which are used in inductive assemblies and magnetic actuators (e.g. in solenoid valves).
Special magnetic polymer materials with very high magnetic and dielectric attenuation losses in the MHz and GHz range can be used for shielding attenuation of electronic assemblies or, with very low attenuation losses, also for the construction of miniaturized antenna systems.
With relatively high filling degrees of the polymer composites, various processing methods of plastics technology, such as extrusion, injection molding, potting processes and 3D printing (FDM) were tested and optimized.
