Making microscopy images and videos

Light microscopic examinations can be carried out at the TITK. The following services are offered:

  •     Identification of sources of defects
  •     Performance of structural analyses
  •     Determination of particle sizes, fibre diameters and angles
  •     Preparation of microscopy images and videos

In addition, sample preparation can be carried out at the TITK.

Technical data for the light microscope

  • Microscope: Herox KH 7700 with camera lens (1200 x 1600 pixels)
  • 2D and 3D images are possible
  • Magnification up to 2500x
  • Measurement sizes down to a minimum of 1 µm
  • Digital image analysis
  • Differential interference contrast for plastic representation of surfaces
