The main applications of the device combination are electrochemical investigations of EC cells (EC = electrochromic) as well as functional polymers for polymer electronics (e.g. OLED, transistor, Li battery, sensor).
Through these measurements, the relationships between the redox states of electrochemically active species or of EC and functional polymers and the resulting changes in their structure or their spectral properties as well as their effects on complete systems can be researched.
