TITK scientist in the PUR+ broadcast on ZDF and KiKA

In the episode "Eric sticks", the children and youth television channel reports in a very entertaining way what the entirely bio-based and biodegradable hotmelt adhesive developed at TITK can achieve.

Having just received the certificate for second place in the Thuringian Environmental Award 2021, Andreas Krypczyk, a research associate at TITK, immediately can be watched in detail on public television. To be exact: in the explorers’ broadcast PUR+, the children and youth programme of ZDF and  KiKA. The latest episode, "Eric sticks", came about with significant support from TITK and its probably best-known adhesives expert currently, Andreas Krypczyk.

The 37-year-old travelled to Bremen for a full day of filming in mid-September. In an industrial hall, the team of the TV programme experimented there with him and the bio-adhesive, which has already been registered under the brand name Caremelt®. What is in the adhesive that can be produced entirely without petroleum? And how firmly can such a natural product actually bond two different materials?

The team investigated these and other questions in the 23-minute episode. The fact is: everyone involved had a lot of fun during the filming. And presenter Eric Mayer, who calls himself the "stuntman of knowledge", was nevertheless put to a tough test.

The programme will be shown for the first time on Tuesday, 16 November 2021, at 19.25 on KiKa and then on Saturday, 20 November 2021, at 09.55 on ZDF.

It is also already available online at:

Further publications on this topic already were before this in Greenpeace Magazine and on ZDF online, among others.
