The Symposium is organised by both the technology oriented polymer research institute TITK Rudolstadt and by the Technical University Ilmenau (TU Ilmenau). The 1st TPE symposium in Rudolstadt in autumn 2004 took place as an event with many excellent lectures. (The contributions are still available on CD). More than 100 participants coming from 14 countries attended TPE 04. Many of them gave a positive feedback to the organisers, and stated that they will come again to Rudolstadt for the next TPE symposium in 2006. TPE 06 will bring together researchers and developers working in areas of organic electronics. Special interest lies in approaches to the large scale production of polymer electronics in connection with unsolved material problems, and application fields of plastic electronics. Further on TITK is an institute at the TU Ilmenau. The Technical University Ilmenau has a long tradition of outstanding education in the technological sectors of electrical and mechanical engineering, nano- and opto-electronics, information science and others. The TU Ilmenau belongs to the industrially most respected technical universities in Germany.
