Rückblick
TPE 04
The Symposium was organized by the technology
oriented polymer research institute TITK Rudolstadt together
with the Ilmenau Technical University.
Besides of other activities in research, development and education,
both are engaged in the fields of organic electronic devices as
field effect transistors (OFET's or PFET's), polymer solar cells,
as well as polymer actuators and OLEDs.
Background and Aims of TPE04
Rapid and remarkable progress in R&D on polymer
electronics has been achieved in the last few years. Therefore it
was time to exchange and discuss research results, unresolved material
problems and barriers of commercialisation of plastic electronics.
Such an international communications platform took place for the
first time and put 110 scientists in a position to present their
findings. The Symphonic Concert in the castle "Heidecksburg" with
the enclosed get-together was a pleasurable agenda. Altogether it
was an outstanding presentation and lots of contacts could be socialized.
For the future we hope many ideas, further progresses will be realized
and we will meet us again for a next exchange.
